On March 19, CBEAD held the awarding ceremony for He Wenping to become an international distinguished professor. Tan Yue, vice president of the Academy, presented the awardand pointed out in his speech at the awarding ceremonythat the appointment of international distinguished professorsis a strategic arrangement to achieve the goal of "world-class Academy with Chinese characteristics".

He Wenping said that this visit has further enhanced her understanding of the strategic planning and international development direction of CBEAD. She will try her best to perform the duties as an international distinguished professor and contribute to the international development of CBEAD. After the ceremony, Professor He Wenping discussed and exchanged with the faculty members of Department of International Collaboration, providing valuable suggestions for the development of international curriculum system, international project design and international resource expansion.

He Wenping is among the first batch of international professors appointed by CBEAD. She is an expert in the Research and Development International (RDI) the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and the chief researcher in the innovation project of the West Asia and Africa Institute. Her research areas include the Belt and Road Initiative, cross-cultural communication and Sino-African relations.
