Prof Nobuaki Kojima, senior researcher of Japan's Waseda University, together with Jiang Zhengyin, director of International Division, Waseda University and FU Ying, director of Sino-Japan Cultural Exchange Center came to CBEAD on March 27, 2017. During the visit, Prof Nobuaki Kojiama gave a lecture on "Overseas Strategies of Japanese Corporations". Dong Dahai, executive vice president of CBEAD expressed his welcome for the visit of Prof. Nobuaki Kojima. Tan Yue, vice president of CBEAD, some CBEAD faculty and staff as well as teachers from Management Department of Dalian University of Technology attended the lecture.
Prof. Nobuaki Kojima shared his ideas about what's a “shosya”, as well as the roles of “shosya” and their overseas strategies. He talked about his gains and experiences in MITSUBISHI for 40 years by sharing real cases, and gave advise on “whether it is feasible to set up a transversal organization that across all the fields of business of SOEs" aiming at the "going global" strategy for Chinese enterprises. After the lecture, all the participants carried out a discussion in detail with Prof. Nobuaki Kojima focusing on the operating patterns of Japanese corporations, how to maintain the stability of overseas projects, and the roles of the government in promoting "going global" of enterprises.
Graduated from Waseda University, Prof Nobuaki Kojima used to work at MITSUBISHI for 40 years. As the soul of MITSUBISHI, he successively served as general manager in Iran, executive director and director of the Business Development Division, executive director and CEO of the Earth Environment Business Development Department.
