From August 1 to 5, the Special Training Course on Studying and Implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy (Session 1) was held in CBEAD, hosted by SASAC International Cooperation Bureau and organized by CBEAD. Meng Huaqiang, Deputy Director of International Cooperation Bureau of SASAC(presiding) attended the opening ceremony and made a mobilization  speech. Qiu Baolin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive Vice President of CBEAD, delivered a welcome speech, and Zhang Zhiguang, Vice President of CBEAD, moderated the opening ceremony. The international cooperation departments of 41 central enterprises and 6 industry associations attended the special training course.

The training aims to thoroughly study and implement Xi’s diplomatic thought, To accurately understand and grasp the core value, spiritual essence, rich connotation and practical requirements of Xi’s diplomatic system. To learn Xi Jinping’s scientific analysis, major judgment and strategic deployment on international development and China's diplomatic direction. To better serve the construction of "Belt and Road" and national diplomacy, to further improve the level of central enterprise overseas security management and international management quality.

Eight experts from the Department of Policy and Planning of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, SASAC Policy and Regulations Bureau, Planning and Development Bureau, Overseas Affairs Office, Party School of the CPC Central Committee (National Academy of Administration), China Foreign Languages Publishing and Distribution Bureau, and China Institute of International Studies were invited to give lectures. The course sets up group discussion, experiential learning, theme salon, on-site teaching and other links and forms, and conducted innovative "Belt and Road" overseas online on-site teaching —— into the Djibouti Port Industry and City comprehensive development project of China Merchants Group. Online courses are set up through the APP of State-owned Enterprise Learning online to realize offline and online complementary teaching.

The students highly evaluated the training organization and teaching effect. Through this training, the trainees further understood Xi Jinping’s Diplomacy, strengthened their strategic determination and confidence to "go global" under the complex and severe global circumstances, and promoted high-quality development of international exchanges and cooperation between state-owned and central enterprises under the new situation.
